The SAG Awards nominations for 2025 have been revealed ahead of the ceremony in February
Los Angeles: The nominations for the 31st annual Screen Actors Guild Awards (SAG Awards) are out, and the ceremony is set for February. Originally, Joey King and Cooper Koch were going to announce the nominees live, but they had to cancel due to the wildfires in California.
The Screen Actors Guild made the call to cancel the live event for safety reasons, citing the wildfires and strong winds. They wanted to ensure everyone involved was safe.
So, what are the nominees? There are some big names in the running this year. For Best Male Actor in a Leading Role, we have Adrien Brody, Timothee Chalamet, and Daniel Craig, among others. And for Best Female Actor, Pamela Anderson and Cynthia Erivo are in the mix.
There are also categories for supporting roles, ensemble casts, and even stunts. It’s shaping up to be an exciting year!
The SAG Awards will stream live on February 23, starting at 1 AM UK time (5 PM US PT). This event is the last major awards show before the Oscars, and it’s a big deal in the industry.
Kristen Bell will host the ceremony, and Jane Fonda will receive the Life Achievement Award. It’s a night to celebrate the best in film and television, and it’s all happening at the Shrine Auditorium in LA.
Voting for the SAG Awards is unique because it’s done by the actors themselves. The final voting opens on January 15 and wraps up on February 21. So, mark your calendars!
