A search is on for two Londoners missing in the Dolomites since January 1, raising concerns among friends and family.
Trentino: A frantic search is happening in the Dolomites for two Londoners who vanished while hiking. Aziz Ziriat, 36, and his buddy Samuel Harris, 35, were last in touch on January 1, sending messages from the area.
They didn’t show up for their flight home on Monday, which has everyone worried. Social media is buzzing with appeals for help, even from Crystal Palace Football Club.
The club’s charity posted on X, saying, “Aziz Ziriat, a staff member, and his friend Sam Harris have been missing since January 1, last heard from at 14:20 while hiking in the Dolomites.”
Rescue teams, including Alpine Rescue and local fire brigades, are on the ground, but heavy snowfall is making it tough to reach them.
Friends of the missing men are flying out from London to help with the search. Mustafa Suleyman, the CEO of Microsoft’s AI division, even reached out on LinkedIn, saying he urgently needs help finding his friends.
He mentioned they were last seen near Casina Dosson Tione Di Trento, close to Lake Garda. Everyone is hoping for a safe return.
