A man has died and others were injured in a late-night incident in west London, prompting a police investigation into the circumstances.
West London: A man tragically lost his life after a disturbance in the early hours of Sunday. The police are now digging into what happened.
Officers from the Metropolitan Police found several others injured nearby. They’re working hard to piece together the events at the crime scene.
The area around Birkbeck Road, close to Acton Central railway station, was sealed off after the police were called just after 4am.
Emergency services, including the London Ambulance Service, rushed to the scene. Sadly, despite their best efforts, the man died shortly after they arrived.
Residents in Acton can expect to see more police around for the next few days as they try to figure out what went down.
A spokesperson for the Met said they found the injured man at the scene, but despite all attempts to save him, he passed away soon after.
They also mentioned that several others were hurt and received treatment. The public should be aware of a significant police presence as the investigation unfolds.
There’s a large crime scene set up, with some roads closed off. The police understand this might be inconvenient for locals, but it’s crucial for gathering evidence.
If anyone has information about the incident, they’re encouraged to call the police at 101 and reference 1132/08DEC. You can also reach out to Crimestoppers anonymously at 0800 555 111. More updates will come as they have them.
