Ange Postecoglou faces tough choices for Tottenham’s lineup against Manchester United in the Carabao Cup quarter-finals tonight
London: Ange Postecoglou has a real puzzle on his hands for tonight’s Carabao Cup match against Manchester United. He needs to pick his starting XI, and it’s not easy.
He’s got to decide who to leave out from a strong group: Pape Matar Sarr, James Maddison, Dejan Kulusevski, or Brennan Johnson. All of them are playing well, so it’s a tough call.
Kulusevski can play in different positions, which makes it even trickier. Any of these guys could end up on the bench, and it’s all happening in north London.
On the defensive side, Postecoglou has fewer choices. He’s considering whether to play Destiny Udogie, who’s still feeling the effects of an early exit in the last game against Southampton.
If Udogie doesn’t play, Djed Spence might step in at left-back again. Yves Bissouma is back from suspension and should take over the No. 6 spot, replacing Lucas Bergvall.
