Tottenham’s late draw with Wolves sees them lose key players and face mounting pressure on their manager
London: So, Tottenham had a bit of a rough time against Wolves. Jorgen Strand Larsen scored a late equaliser, and it ended 2-2. That’s a tough pill to swallow for Spurs fans.
They really needed those three points, especially with all the injuries piling up. Destiny Udogie went off with a suspected hamstring issue, which is just what they didn’t need. Plus, Rodrigo Bentancur is out for the next game due to suspension. Ouch!
The match started off on a bad note for Spurs. Wolves scored early, just seven minutes in, thanks to a slick set-piece. Hwang Hee-chan found the net, and it looked like it might be a long day for Tottenham.
But Spurs didn’t take long to respond. Bentancur scored with a header from a great cross by Pedro Porro. That was a nice moment for him after being out for a while.
Things got a bit tense when Spurs had a penalty chance, but Heung-min Son’s shot was saved. Luckily, Brennan Johnson scored soon after to put Spurs ahead. It felt like they might hold on.
However, the second half was a bit of a mess with injuries disrupting the flow. Both teams had chances, but it was Wolves who struck back late in the game. Larsen’s equaliser was a real heartbreaker for Tottenham.
In the end, it’s another frustrating result for Spurs, and the pressure is definitely on Ange Postecoglou. They need to sort things out quickly!
