A man has been arrested following a suspicious lorry fire in Dartford, prompting an investigation by local police.
Dartford: So, there was this big fire involving a lorry, and it’s got everyone talking. A guy was arrested on suspicion of arson after the lorry, which belonged to a local shop, went up in flames.
The whole thing happened on Suffolk Road around 8:28 PM on January 20. Kent Police is on the case, trying to figure out what went down.
People even caught footage of the lorry, which was parked in a loading bay, with flames shooting out. It looked pretty intense!
Three fire engines showed up and worked hard to put out the fire, which took a while. Thankfully, no one got hurt.
The arrested man is 39 years old and doesn’t have a fixed address. He was taken in later that night.
The lorry that burned belonged to a local store called Nice Price, which has been around for about 17 years. They shared a video on Facebook asking for support after the incident.
In their post, they mentioned they’ve taken a hit but are determined to bounce back stronger. They lost a lorry and a lot of stock, which is tough for any small business.
Police are urging anyone with info to reach out. They want to get to the bottom of this and figure out what really happened.
