Southeastern trains face cancellations and diversions this week due to essential engineering work affecting multiple routes and schedules
London: So, here’s the scoop. Some Southeastern trains are getting cancelled or diverted this week because of some engineering work. It’s a bit of a hassle, but it’s necessary.
This work is happening today and tomorrow, so if you’re planning to travel, you might want to check your schedule. They’re closing all lines between Swanley and Rochester starting early Friday morning.
For instance, the 12.40am train from London Victoria to Gillingham is now leaving at 12.42am and will go straight to Rochester, Chatham, and Gillingham without any stops.
And if you were hoping to catch the 12.25am train to Ashford International, it’s been pushed back to 12.40am but will still stop at all the usual places.
Oh, and there’s a replacement bus leaving Swanley at 1.15am. It’ll make stops at Farningham Road, Longfield, Meopham, Rochester, Chatham, and Gillingham. Just a heads up!
