Southeastern trains will face cancellations and diversions this Sunday due to engineering work, affecting several routes and services.
London: This Sunday, some Southeastern trains are getting cancelled, diverted, or replaced by buses because of planned engineering work. It’s just for January 5, so don’t worry about January 4; everything’s normal then.
So, here’s the scoop: there’s engineering work happening between Swanley and Sevenoaks, which means all lines are closed. If you’re traveling from London Victoria to Ashford International, your train will only run between Borough Green & Wrotham and Ashford International. And yeah, there will be replacement buses running between Swanley and Borough Green & Wrotham, stopping at Otford.
Now, if you’re in the Lewisham and Dartford area, there’s also some work going on in Hither Green, closing all lines. Trains from London Charing Cross to Sevenoaks won’t be running, and the same goes for Dartford and Gravesend. But don’t fret; extra trains will be running between London Bridge and Gravesend via Greenwich, and there will be buses running between Greenwich and Dartford, stopping at all the stations along the way.
Over at London Bridge, they’re doing some work too, which means no trains will be running to and from London Charing Cross, London Waterloo East, and London Cannon Street. Some trains that usually go to Ramsgate and Dover Priory will be diverted to London Victoria instead. So, if you’re heading that way, just keep that in mind.
Lastly, there’s engineering work affecting Canterbury West, Deal, and Ramsgate. Trains from London Charing Cross to Ramsgate will only run between London Victoria and Canterbury West. And there will be replacement buses running between Canterbury West and Margate, as well as between Deal and Ramsgate.
So, if you’re traveling this Sunday, make sure to check your route and plan ahead. Safe travels!
