London braces for snow and freezing temperatures as health alerts are issued
London: The UK Health Security Agency has put out an amber cold-health alert for the city. It’s getting chilly, and snow is on the way this weekend.
Last night, temperatures dropped below zero, making it feel like -4C this morning. And guess what? More cold weather is expected next week.
Across the UK, it’s even colder, with some areas hitting -5C overnight and warnings of -8C coming up. Just a few weeks ago, we were dealing with floods from Storm Darragh.
