Eltham: A flat fire broke out, leaving a boy and a woman needing hospital care. It all happened on December 7, and it took quite a while to get it under control.

Firefighters were called to Sidcup Road Parade just before 1:30 PM. They sent four fire engines and about 25 brave firefighters to tackle the flames.

Sadly, the fire completely destroyed the first-floor flat. A man managed to escape before the firefighters arrived but had to be treated for smoke inhalation.

The woman and the boy were taken to the hospital, but we don’t know how they’re doing yet. Fire crews from Sidcup, Eltham, and Lewisham worked hard to bring the fire under control by around 4:20 PM.

According to the London Fire Brigade, the cause of the fire is still undetermined, but they believe it was accidental. It’s a scary reminder of how quickly things can go wrong.
