A protester dressed as Santa staged a dramatic stunt at Trafalgar Square, drawing attention to fathers’ rights issues in a festive setting
London: A protester dressed as Santa Claus made quite the scene at Trafalgar Square. He climbed the massive Christmas tree on a busy Sunday morning.
While up there, he waved around a newspaper with Prime Minister Sir Keir Starmer’s face on it. Talk about making a statement!
The group behind this stunt, Fathers4Justice, took to social media to share what was happening. They said, “A Fathers4Justice supporter dressed as Father Christmas has scaled the famous Trafalgar Square Christmas Tree in London. Trafalgar Square Closed. Police on scene trying to talk him down.”
This whole thing led to parts of the square being closed off. Police were on the scene, trying to negotiate with the guy in the Santa suit. The tree itself is a big deal, a gift from Norway to Britain since 1947, and it’s one of London’s most famous holiday spots.
This protest is just the latest in a series of eye-catching stunts by Fathers4Justice, a group known for raising awareness about fathers’ rights. As of now, the police haven’t said if they made any arrests related to this incident.
