London: A wild scene unfolded when about 30 masked men burst into a cinema screening a Bollywood film. They were shouting “down with India,” which really freaked everyone out.

This happened at the Vue Cinema in Harrow on a Sunday night. People were there to enjoy the movie “Emergency,” but instead, they got a front-row seat to chaos.

Footage shared online shows the group pushing past staff to get inside. It was a scary moment for the audience, many of whom were left terrified.

One eyewitness, Saloni Belaid, described it as chaotic. She said most of the audience ran out while she and her friends decided to stay and confront the masked men. Talk about brave!

Saloni mentioned that these activists were linked to the Khalistan separatist movement, which is all about creating a homeland for Sikhs. It’s a pretty intense situation.

There have also been protests in the Midlands against the film, which some critics have labeled “anti-Sikh.”

Rashmi Chaubey, who recorded the incident, said it was terrifying to see masked men with a kirpan blocking exits in a dark theater. She felt the police didn’t do much, saying it was their right to protest.

It’s a sad day when the right to protest is used to stifle free expression, right? The Sikh Press Association has called the film “anti-Sikh propaganda,” claiming it spreads false information about revered Sikh figures.

They argue that such content fuels anti-Sikh hate, which is a real concern given the rise in violence against Sikhs in India.

The police confirmed they were called to the scene and managed to disperse the group, but no arrests were made. Vue Cinema has yet to comment on the incident.
