Woolwich: A tragic scene unfolded in southeast London when a 43-year-old woman was found dead in her flat. The police were alerted after concerns were raised about her welfare.
Officers arrived at the property on Argyll Road around 5:25 PM on Friday. Sadly, they discovered the woman had already passed away. They are now searching for a suspect who is known to her.
The police confirmed that the victim’s next of kin has been informed, but they are still waiting for formal identification. A post-mortem examination revealed that she died from blunt force trauma and head injuries.
Detective Chief Inspector Suzanne Soren expressed her condolences, stating that this is a deeply tragic incident. She mentioned that the victim’s family is receiving support from specialist officers.
At this point, authorities believe the suspect was familiar to the victim. They are conducting urgent inquiries to locate a specific individual.
