Manchester United gears up for a crucial Carabao Cup clash against Tottenham, with key players returning and some missing out due to injuries.
London: Manchester United’s manager, Ruben Amorim, might have Alejandro Garnacho back for the Carabao Cup quarter-final against Tottenham tonight. However, it looks like Marcus Rashford won’t be making the trip to London.
Amorim had left both players out during Sunday’s win over Manchester City. He didn’t say it was a punishment, but he did hint that they need to step up their game. He mentioned, “It’s not a disciplinary thing. Next week is a new week, and we need to keep our standards high.”
Rashford did mention he’s open to leaving the club, but Amorim believes United is stronger with him on the team. Unfortunately, Mason Mount is out, and Luke Shaw is also likely to miss the match due to injury. On a brighter note, Jonny Evans might be back in the squad after being absent for a while.
Amorim seems to have most of his players fit for the cup tie. The predicted lineup for United includes Onana, de Ligt, Maguire, Martinez, Mazraoui, Mainoo, Ugarte, Dalot, Amad, Hojlund, and Fernandes. Injuries are keeping Shaw and Mount out of action.
Kick-off is set for 8 PM GMT tonight at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium, and you can catch the game live on Sky Sports.
