Kensington: So, have you heard about the Blue Stoops? It’s this cool new pub that’s brought back Double Diamond, a beer that was once super popular. Apparently, Prince Philip loved it and had a bottle every night. Crazy, right? It kind of disappeared for ages, but now it’s back in style.

This place used to be the Macauley Arms, and it’s run by Jamie Allsopp, who’s like the great-great-great-grandson of the guy who started the brewery. He went all out to revive the brand, even tracking down old recipes and the original yeast. Talk about dedication!

The pub looks amazing, with its blue tiles and dark wood. They’ve got a nice selection of real ales and draught beers, but no Guinness—just London Black instead. It’s a tasty Pilsner, and they’re both £6.80 a pint. Not too shabby!

And the food? Oh man, it’s not just your average pub grub. They’ve got battered monkfish with curry sauce and fancy dishes like caviar and crème fraîche. It’s a real treat for your taste buds.

It’s great to see a classic brewery making a comeback in London. I bet Prince Philip would have loved hanging out here!
