Italy: Some belongings of a missing charity worker connected to Crystal Palace FC have been discovered in the Dolomites. The search has been ongoing for 12 days for Sam Harris, 35, and Aziz Ziriat, 36, both from London, who went missing on January 1.

Sadly, rescuers found Mr. Harris’s body in the Passo di Conca area on Wednesday. The national alpine rescue team announced on Sunday that the search for Mr. Ziriat was paused for the day.

On Saturday, they found some of Mr. Ziriat’s items. His friend and business partner, Spencer Jones, shared a heartfelt tribute on Instagram, expressing his devastation and honoring their 23-year friendship.

Over 100 rescuers are still searching for Mr. Ziriat. They’re combing through a snowy area of about 5,500 square meters, using a dog unit to assist in the search.

They tracked the mobile phones of both men to the location where their backpacks were found, but unfortunately, there’s been no sign of Mr. Ziriat yet. The search was called off for the day as it started to get dark.

Both men worked for Palace for Life, the official charity of Crystal Palace FC, and their disappearance has deeply affected the community.
