London: A young woman was attacked after getting off a bus in Waltham Cross. It’s really shocking to hear about such incidents happening in our neighborhoods.
The 19-year-old was followed by a man who then assaulted her in an alleyway. Thankfully, some people nearby stepped in to help, which is a relief.
Police are on the hunt for the suspect and have shared images of a man they want to talk to. They believe he might have been on the bus with her.
It all went down around 7:45 pm on December 30 after she got off the 217 bus. This bus runs from Turnpike Lane to Waltham Cross, passing through Tottenham and Enfield.
The woman suffered serious injuries and needed hospital treatment, which is just awful. The police are urging anyone with information to come forward.
Detective Sergeant Paul Dicker mentioned that they’ve been following various leads and hope these images will help. They want to reassure the community that no other similar incidents have been reported since.
