Artur Seberger, 53, has been sentenced for abusing two children over 17 years, causing lasting trauma.
Greenwich: A man named Artur Seberger has been sentenced to 12-and-a-half years in prison for abusing two children. The abuse lasted from 2005 to 2022, affecting kids aged 10 to 16.
It all came to light when the victims bravely reported him to the police in July 2024. Seberger was arrested shortly after, but he didn’t stop there. He broke his bail conditions and harassed the victims, leading to his re-arrest.
In court, he pleaded guilty to multiple charges, including causing children to engage in sexual activity. The judge handed down the sentence on January 22, bringing some justice to the victims.
Detective Constable Callum Boast praised the victims for their courage. He emphasized how important it was for the police to act quickly to protect them. The investigation gathered a lot of evidence, which helped Seberger avoid a trial by pleading guilty.
Boast also highlighted the severe impact of such abuse on the victims, both physically and mentally. He hopes the sentence will help them find some closure and peace after all they’ve been through.
