Check out the latest updates on London Underground closures this weekend to plan your travels effectively and avoid any disruptions
London: With the weekend here, it’s a good idea to see what’s happening with the Tube. There are some planned closures from Friday to Sunday.
Like most weekends, a few stations will be closed or partially closed. This is so TfL can do some essential work.
We’ve got a handy list of all the work on the London Underground, Overground, and Elizabeth Line this weekend. This way, you can plan ahead and not get caught out.
If you want the latest info on the Underground, check out the TfL app or website.
On Friday, January 3, there are some changes. For example, the 0529 train from Watford Junction to Euston will start from Willesden Junction at 0604.
Also, there won’t be any southbound service from Willesden Junction to Shepherds Bush until 0615. The first train from Willesden Junction to Clapham Junction will start from Shepherds Bush at 0600.
On the Piccadilly line, there’s no service between Rayners Lane and Uxbridge due to a shortage of trains. They’re fixing some damage caused by leaf fall, so you’ll need to use the Metropolitan line instead.
For the Suffragette line, trains at 0548 from Barking Riverside to Gospel Oak and 0624 from Gospel Oak to Barking Riverside won’t run.
On Saturday, January 4, from 0300 and all day Sunday, there will be no service between Kings Cross St Pancras and Cockfosters. Replacement buses will be available.
Again, there’s no service between Rayners Lane and Uxbridge due to the same train shortage. And on Saturday morning, from 0100 until 0300, there won’t be any service between Hyde Park Corner and Cockfosters.
On Sunday, January 5, until 1130, there will be no service between Maidenhead and Reading. A replacement bus service will operate between those stations.
Also, a reduced service will run between Hayes & Harlington and Maidenhead, except at Iver and Taplow. Two trains an hour will serve West Drayton, Langley, Slough, Burnham, and Maidenhead.
Lastly, on Sunday, there will be no service between Willesden Junction and Clapham Junction until 0930, and no service between Richmond and Willesden Junction.
