Brixton: So, there was this flat fire late at night on Acre Lane. Four people ended up in the hospital after being rescued by firefighters. It all kicked off just after midnight on December 28.

About 25 firefighters showed up with four fire engines to tackle the flames. They really jumped into action! One guy had to be rescued from the second floor using a nine-metre ladder. Can you imagine that?

Two other men and a woman were saved through the stairs with these special fire escape hoods. They were all taken to the hospital by the London Ambulance Service for a check-up.

It seems like the fire damaged part of a ground-floor hallway, but thankfully, everyone got out okay. The cause of the fire is still being looked into by the fire brigade and the police.

A spokesperson from the London Fire Brigade said they were on the scene pretty quickly and had the fire under control in no time. It’s a relief that everyone is safe!
