A former prison officer has been sentenced to 15 months for misconduct after engaging in sexual acts with an inmate at HMP Wandsworth
Wandsworth: So, there’s this wild story about a prison officer who got herself into serious trouble. Linda De Sousa Abreu, just 30 years old, was caught on video having sex with an inmate in a cell at HMP Wandsworth.
The video made its rounds on social media, and that’s when the police stepped in. They launched an investigation, and Linda was arrested. She ended up pleading guilty to misconduct in public office last July.
Fast forward to January 6, and she was back in court, where she got slapped with a 15-month prison sentence. The court said she abused the public’s trust by engaging in sexual acts with a prisoner. Not cool, right?
This all went down between June 26 and 28. Linda was actually arrested at Heathrow Airport while trying to catch a flight to Madrid. She had even told the prison about her travel plans. Talk about a bad decision!
