Croydon: So, Croydon Council has just shared how bin collections will roll out in 2025. They’re in charge of picking up our household waste and recycling, which is super important.
They’ve got a bunch of services like general rubbish bins, recycling bins, food waste collections, and even garden waste services. Pretty handy, right?
Now, the collection dates will change depending on where you live in Croydon. To figure out your specific bin day, just hop onto the Croydon Council website.
Make sure your bin is out by 6am on collection day. The binmen will grab it as long as it’s visible and placed at the edge of your property where it meets the main road.
If you live in a flat, just leave your bins in the communal waste collection area on the right day. But remember, if your bin isn’t at the edge, they won’t pick it up.
Also, if your bin has the wrong type of waste in it, they won’t collect it. And overflowing bins or ones with lids that won’t close? Forget it!
If your bin gets missed and you’ve done everything right, you need to report it on the council’s website within two working days after 10pm on collection day. Easy peasy!
