Erith: An 86-year-old woman lost her life in a house fire that broke out in Mill Road. It’s such a sad situation.

The fire started around 5:45 PM on January 11, and emergency services rushed to the scene. They found part of the ground floor damaged.

Sadly, they discovered the woman inside, but she was pronounced dead right there. Her family has been notified, but they haven’t officially identified her yet.

Right now, the cause of the fire is still unknown. The police are looking into it, and they’ve reached out to the London Fire Brigade for more details.

A spokesperson from the Metropolitan Police mentioned that they were called to the scene alongside the fire brigade. It’s just heartbreaking to hear about this.

The London Ambulance Service also responded quickly, sending a team that arrived in just six minutes. They did their best to help, but unfortunately, it wasn’t enough.
