A signalling problem is causing major delays at a busy London station, affecting multiple services throughout the day
London: So, there’s a bit of a mess at one of the busy stations in London today. A signalling issue popped up early this morning, around 5:40 am, and it’s causing quite the disruption.
Thameslink services are taking a hit, with trains to and from London St Pancras International and West Hampstead getting cancelled or delayed by about 10 minutes. National Rail even mentioned on X, you know, the platform we used to call Twitter, that they thought the chaos would wrap up by 9 am. But guess what? They’ve now said it’ll last all day.
Here’s the scoop on the service changes: there’s a reduced service between Three Bridges and Bedford. Plus, trains that usually run during peak hours between East Grinstead and Bedford are off the table. The same goes for the Orpington to Luton route.
And if you’re looking to travel from Sevenoaks to Welwyn Garden City, you’ll only be able to go as far as London Blackfriars. Also, the Rainham to Luton trains are now only running between Rainham and Dartford. Lastly, if you’re on the Horsham to Peterborough line, expect some extra stops at Salfords and Earlswood in both directions.
