I visited Rudy’s in Soho to see if it lives up to its TripAdvisor hype
London: If you’re in Soho and craving pizza, you’ve got tons of options. But let’s be real, not all pizzas are made the same.
You’ve got your usual suspects like Pizza Express and Pizza Hut, but there are also cool spots like Pizza Pilgrims and Japes.
However, the one that’s stealing the spotlight on TripAdvisor is Rudy’s.
It’s no wonder Rudy’s is so popular – they serve delicious pizza in a chill vibe, and the prices are pretty reasonable.
Kate and Jim Morgan kicked off their pizza journey in Manchester back in 2015, and now they’ve got places all over the UK, including several in London like Soho and Shoreditch.
We decided to check out Rudy’s in Soho to see what all the fuss was about, and let me tell you, we were not disappointed.
The place was buzzing on a Tuesday night, but the staff were super friendly and quick to help.
We started with a ‘Small Campana’ plate, which was loaded with peppery rocket, spicy cured meats, oven-dried tomatoes, and drizzled mozzarella. Trust me, it was more than enough for two!
After that, we dove into the main event. Their Neapolitan pizza dough ferments for 24 hours and cooks in just 60 seconds in a blazing hot oven, topped with sweet San Marzano tomatoes.
I went for the tarantina, while my partner chose the cinghiale. Both were light and had a chewy crust that was just perfect.
We paired our pizzas with a fruity orancello spritz cocktail, which was a real treat.
I’ve got a sweet tooth, so I wished I had room for dessert, but I settled for a shot of lemoncello instead.
We left feeling stuffed and can’t wait to go back!
Rudy’s Neapolitan Pizza is located at 80 Wardour Street in Soho.
