London: A man was arrested after a car hit several pedestrians in the West End. This happened early on Christmas Day, following a fight at a nightclub.

Police got the call around 12:45 AM about a car driving on the wrong side of Shaftesbury Avenue. It was a chaotic scene.

One person is in critical condition, and three others were taken to the hospital. The driver, a 31-year-old, is now facing serious charges.

Authorities confirmed that this incident is not linked to terrorism. Deputy Assistant Commissioner Stuart Cundy mentioned how quickly officers acted to make the arrest.

They believe the driver was involved in a nightclub altercation before he got behind the wheel and drove onto the pavement.

Several areas around the scene are still cordoned off as investigations continue. Thankfully, police say this was an isolated incident.

If you have any information, you can reach out to the police or Crimestoppers. They’re looking for anyone who might have seen what happened.
