Chelsea has reached an agreement for winger Zain Silcott-Duberry to join Bournemouth
London: So, Chelsea’s winger Zain Silcott-Duberry is on his way to Bournemouth. They’ve struck a deal that doesn’t involve an upfront fee, but there are performance bonuses and a sell-on clause included.
He’s likely to sign a three-year contract with the Cherries, who are already making moves in the transfer market this month. Silcott-Duberry has been with Chelsea since 2017, coming up through their youth ranks after starting at Norwich.
He made his debut for the Under-18s while still in school and often played as a wing-back back then. Last season, he was a regular for Chelsea’s U21 team, playing mostly as a right wing-back.
Unfortunately, he hasn’t been able to break into the first team yet. And it looks like he might not be the only one leaving Chelsea this month. Renato Veiga, who just joined in the summer, is also being eyed by Borussia Dortmund.
Dortmund is looking for a new left-back and has been linked with Arsenal’s Oleksandr Zinchenko too. Reports say they’ve approached Chelsea about a loan deal for Veiga, who can play in multiple positions, including centre-back and midfield.
