London: So, there was this wild scene at New Beckenham station early Saturday. A car somehow ended up on the train tracks, and it caused a real mess for commuters.

Emergency services rushed to the scene around 5 am. Fire crews were busy checking the silver Ford to see if anyone was stuck inside. Thankfully, it looks like no one was hurt.

Steve White, the Southeastern Railway managing director, shared on X, formerly Twitter, that the railway had already faced three bridge strikes in just 48 hours, plus this car incident. Talk about a rough couple of days!

People on social media were pretty shocked. One person wondered how someone could even manage to drive onto the tracks. Another recalled a similar incident from a couple of years back, saying, “Not again!”

Network Rail was on it, saying they were working fast to get the railway back up and running. They thanked passengers for their patience and apologized for the delays.

Eventually, they announced that the lines had reopened after a safety check. But, of course, there were still warnings about potential delays of up to 25 minutes or even cancellations.

London Ambulance Service, the Metropolitan Police, and British Transport Police were all contacted for more info, but it seems like they were just as surprised by the whole thing!
