Fans can look forward to the new series of Call the Midwife starting January 5, 2025, on BBC One with a special Christmas episode beforehand
London: The BBC has just confirmed that the beloved show Call the Midwife will kick off its new series on January 5, 2025. Exciting, right?
This drama, which started back in 2012, is based on Jennifer Worth’s experiences as a midwife in the East End during the 1950s. It’s been a hit worldwide!
And guess what? The show has been renewed through at least 2026, so we have plenty more stories to look forward to. Before the new series, there’s a two-part Christmas special to enjoy.
Fans can catch the Christmas special on Christmas Day and Boxing Day, where the midwives will be busy with deliveries and a fun fair in Poplar.
As for the new series, it’ll air on Sundays at 8 PM, just like before. We can expect to see our favorite characters back and how they adapt as the 1970s roll in.
There’s even buzz about an emotional scene that’s been filmed, which has fans on social media all worked up. It sounds like it’s going to be a tear-jerker!
