Dover: This week, the A2 is getting some much-needed maintenance. It might slow things down for drivers, especially with Christmas just around the corner.

These closures are all part of a plan to keep the roads safe and in good shape. So, while it’s a hassle, it’s for a good reason.

If you’re driving, it’s a smart move to plan your route ahead of time. Expect some diversions and delays while the work is going on.

National Highways is in charge of this stretch, which is super important for connecting Dover to London. The A2 runs about 72 miles from Borough to the Dover Docks.

Here’s what to look out for this week:

Monday, December 16: A2 westbound from Honeywood Interchange to Whitfield Roundabout.

Tuesday, December 17: Same as Monday, plus the A260 Canterbury Road exit slip road.

Wednesday, December 18: A2 westbound at the Honeywood Interchange exit slip road.

Thursday, December 19: A2 westbound at the Patrixbourne entry slip road.

After Thursday, there shouldn’t be any more closures for the week. Just keep an eye out for any updates or changes.
