Woolwich: A tragic incident unfolded when a 14-year-old boy was fatally stabbed on a bus. The victim, Kelyan Bokassa, was attacked on the 472 bus just before 2:30 PM.

Though his name was shared earlier, the police have now confirmed it officially. They also released a photo of Kelyan to help with their investigation.

So far, no arrests have been made, but the police say they’re making good progress. They’re asking anyone who might have seen something or has footage to step forward.

People have started leaving flowers at the bus stop where it happened, showing their support and sorrow. Paramedics tried to help Kelyan, but sadly, he passed away shortly after they arrived.

Detective Chief Inspector Martin Thorpe is leading the investigation. He’s urging anyone who was in the area or has any video footage to contact the police.

He understands that this is a scary time for the community and reassured everyone that there will be more police presence in Woolwich.

Our hearts go out to Kelyan’s family during this tough time. If you have any information, you can call the police or reach out to Crimestoppers anonymously.
